I wear my anxiety in different shades.
Today I put on a blushing pink coat.
I can’t bring myself to open my lips,
Not to speak, nor to touch his.
As I see roses wither,
I can’t help but wonder,
Whether I wore the coat or it wore me.

Tomorrow is now today,
And my blue scarf is strangling me.
I can’t look at the sky because its the sea,
And my documented folders evade me.
The hue of my cushions, and blanket and bed,
Invite all monsters I dread.

Its midnight and not quite the time,
To ask God if I should have been blind.
I don’t think I’m ready to face another day,
Where I wear my anxiety in different shades.
